The case of Moosa Rilwan and Thilmeez sent to PG Office

The case of Moosa Rilwan and Abdulla Thilmeez who robbed the handbag of a German tourist near the Foreign Ministry has been sent to the Prosecutor General’s (PG) Office.

Sources say that the case was sent to PG Office last week.

Moosa Rilwan is the brother of the missing journalist Ahmed Rilwan Abdulla. A man the state has charged with the murder of Ali Shifan. Whose failure of a conviction has been appealed at the High Court.

Police said that they first detained and questioned Moosa Rilwan and Thilmeez on 28 July this year around 12:35 p.m. regarding possession of alcohol. And they were arrested immediately after what was believed to be stolen items were found on them during a search.

Police said that it was later revealed that the items found on them were robbed from a German tourist near the Foreign Ministry that morning.

A large sum of money and other items from the bag was recovered after further questioning and the investigation.
