Suspended driving licences released

Police have commenced releasing suspended driving licences, following the enforcement of the Second Amendment to the Road Traffic Act.

The new law states that all past fines resulting from traffic violations as well as suspension of licences, will be pardoned.

Information Officer of the Police Ismail Ali told Sun Online that licences are being released at the Tow Yard.

This does not include licences that have been suspended as a result of lack of roadworthiness certificate, failure to pay annual fee, and failure to insure vehicles.
