Twenty people suffer food poisoning in Hulhumeedhoo

Twenty people have suffered from food poisoning after a consuming food at party in Hulhumeedhoo, Addu City.

Head of Hulhumeedhoo Health Centre Ibrahim Didi told Sun Online that twenty people, who had attended the same party, have been treated for vomiting and diarrhoea.

Ten of them were admitted for further observation, but only three remain admitted at the moment, he said.

He added that their condition is not serious.

The party was a farewell gathering, given by a group of people preparing to depart from Hulhumeedhoo.

According to Ibrahim Didi, the food poisoning was most likely caused by vegetables.
