Foreign staff found dead at resort Funamuadu

Foreign employee at Robinsons Club Maldives at Funamuadu Island has been found dead in the island’s lagoon.

Police Media Official told Sun Media tonight that the employee was found dead around 3:30 p.m. this afternoon.

The Police Media official said that according to the doctors at Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital at G.Dh. Thinadhoo, he was dead on arrival.

“The investigation has revealed so far that no foul play was involved.” The Media Official said.

An official from Robinsons Club Maldives told Sun Media that it was Nepalese Security Guard at the resort that was found dead in the lagoon today.

“When the resort’s launch came to the resort today, they found a man face down in the water and when they retrieved the man, it was the Nepalese security guard here. He was bleeding from the nose at the time.” The official said.

The resort official also said that he was taken to the Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital after being checked by the Bangladeshi doctor at the resort.
