MDP: The most important partner in the development of the Maldives is India

Opposition party, MDP has said that the most important partner in the development of the country in India.

A statement issued by MDP on the occasion of the Indian Independence Day says that long lasting relationship between India and the Maldives is something highly valued by MDP and the people of the Maldives.

The MDP statement said that the party wishes that the relationship between the two countries to remain without being detached.

MDP said that the Indian people set an example to the world with their heroes and the people valuing patience over bloodshed in their work towards independence and the acceptance of democracy and the state.

The statement says that India’s position as the largest democracy on the globe gives hope to the whole world.

And also adds that looking back, India has a past to be proud of and the future also promise and development.
