FSM vessel refloated

The Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM) oil barge that ran aground on the reef near Vilimalé, has been refloated.

The vessel was carrying oil to Vilimalé when it hit the reef on the south-western side of Vilingili at 11:15 a.m. yesterday.

Information Officer of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Major Adnan Mohamed said that the vessel was refloated at 9:40 p.m. yesterday.

There was no major damage to the oil barge, he added.

FSM is a subsidiary of State Trading Organisation (STO).
