Fan falls on student

A fan fell on top of a 5th grader while she was inside her classroom in Haa Dhaal Atoll Education Center.

The student is now being treated at Kulhudhuffushi Hospital. The doctor who gave her treatment said that she had not sustained any serious injuries but that her head was swollen.

Kulhidhuffushi Council President Ali Mohamed said that the fan had fallen down because of a faulty screw.

“The head of the screw to put the hook in place - used to attach the fan had deteriorated,” said Ali Mohamed.
