Names sent to the Parliament to be approved for the board of MIRA

lla Yamin has sent the names to the Parliament to be researched since five people already on the board of the state tax agency, Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has their job expiration coming up.

The names were sent to the committee of Independent Institutes.

The five names sent were Ahmed Faaiz Mohamed (L. Maavah), Hassan Waheed (G.Dh. Thinadhoo), Leena Mohamed Zaahir Hussain (Malé City), Aishath Aashaa Ali (Malé City) and Faseeh Zaahir (G.Dh. Dhaandhoo) and Fathimath Farheeza (S. Maradhoo).

The President’s Office said that application for the board of MIRA was opened from 16 – 22 July.

The current board of directors of MIRA consists of the Commissioner General of Taxation, Yazeed Mohamed, Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation, Hassan Zareer, Chairperson, Ahmed Mohamed, Deputy Chairperson, Hassan Waheed, Director, Aishath Lulaa Hassan, Director Hussain Siraaj and Director Ahmed Faaiz.
