Thulhaadhoo baby buried in Male

The baby found dead in Baa Thulhaadhoo has been buried. The body was taken to Male’ for investigation yesterday.

Police said that after relevant checks were completed, the burial process was carried out by the family with assistance from the police, at Aasahara in Male’ on Wednesday night.

The case is under investigation by the Police Family and Child Protection Unit, and Serious and Organised Crime Unit. No one has been arrested yet.

The premature baby was born to an 18-year-old girl. Sources say it was a still birth, and no one knew the girl was pregnant until she gave birth.
