Minivan 50 Commemorative Note gifted to President Maumoon

The commemorative note issued by the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) celebrating the 50th anniversary of Maldivian independence has been gifted to the former president, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.

At a ceremony held at the former President’s Office, the Governor of MMA, Dr. Azima Adam presented the note to President Maumoon. According to Governor Azima, they presented the commemorative note President Maumoon because MMA was founded in President Maumoon’s presidency and he was the first governor of MMA.

President Maumoon thanked Dr. Azima and the MMA staff for presenting the commemorative note of MVR 5,000.

President Maumoon said that MMA serves a national responsibility to the financial and business sector of the country. And so he express his gratitude to MMA for it’s services since it’s establishment.

The Commemorative Note was inaugurated by Abdul Sataar Moosa Didi. And MMA gifted a commemorative note to President Yamin as well.

MMA started the sale of the commemorative note today for MVR 7,500.
