Indian High Commission opens Book of Condolence for former President Abdul Kalam

The High Commission of Indian in Maldives has opened a Book of Condolence for Indian former President, Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen (APJ) Abdul Kalam.

The Indian High Commission said that the book will be placed at the High Commission from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on 29 July.

India has announced a week of mourning following the former president's death on Monday.

Abdul Kalam, aged 84, collapsed while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong, and died later at the hospital.
