Route March held to celebrate Independence Day

A route march with the participation of a large number of schools and the MNDF was held this evening as part of the Golden Jubilee Independence Day celebrations.

The march began at the MNDF Headquarters and took to the major roads in Malé City including Chaandhanee Magu, Sosun Magu, Orchid Magu and Majeedhee Magu.

The MNDF stopped in front of the Presidential Palace, Billoorijehige and Supreme Court during the march for performances of the brass band.

The march of the schools also took place on the same route of MNDF.
