Indian Health Minister, Mr. JP Nadda has said that the people of the India and the Maldives have a friendly relationship.
Speaking at the meeting with the Maldivian Health Minister, Iruthisham Adam at the Health Ministry today, JP Nadda said that this is the year that marks 50 years of friendship between the two countries.
The Maldives established political relations with India in 1968. Indian Health Minister sent the greetings of the Independence Day to the people of Maldives.
Health Minister Iruthisham said that India is one of the first countries to establish foreign relations with the Maldives and the two countries have a very close relationship.
Indian ambassador to the Maldives, Mr. Rajeev Shahare and the Maldivian ambassador to India, Ahmed Mohamed also took part in the meeting between the two Health Ministers.
The Indian Health Minister JP Nadda signed the Health Ministry’s honorary guestbook. Mr. Nadda is visiting Maldives on the occasion of the 50th Independence Day of the Maldives.
