Military drills display has been postponed to Friday night

The military drills display scheduled to be held on Monday night at the National Stadium has been delayed to Friday.

Home Minister Umar Naseer tweeted this evening saying that the drills display was delayed Friday night due to “unpredictable weather.”

27th event (Hevikamaa Kulhuvaru ge item) is now postponed to 31st, Friday night due unpredictable weather.

Met Office estimates that the weather would be clearer across the country starting tomorrow. But showers are expected in the North and South.

Among the activities being held to celebrate the golden jubilee of Maldivian independence, this is the first time an item has been cancelled.
