Customer attempted to pass without ticket smashes glass at the Hulhumal

A man who attempted to go to Hulhumalé without a ticket has smashed the glass on the door at the Hulhumalé ferry terminal.

CEO of MTCC, Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem told Sun Media today that a young man who attempted to get on the 2 a.m. ferry last night had smashed the glass.

“When the ticket teller asked where his ticket was, he talked back crudely and attempted to go in. So if one tries to go without a ticket, the gate would be closed no? And when it closed he smashed the glass with his hand.” Haleem said.

He said that while he sustained injuries to his hand, he was also under the influence. After he smashed the glass, he attempted to flee but he was stopped and turned in to the Police.

There has been no word from the Police on the matter as of yet.
