Man arrested for theft in Hulhumal

A man has been arrested for stealing from a flat in Hulhumalé.

The 21-year-old Maldivian man was arrested today on suspicion of stealing an Acer laptop, and has been given a remand period of 14 days by Hulhumalé Magistrate Court.

Separately, a 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man were arrested in a flat in Hulhumalé at 2:15 p.m. yesterday on suspicion of possession.

Police found several packets containing substances believed to be drugs at the scene of the arrest.

The 17-year-old has been given seven days, and the 20-year-old ten days as remand periods by Hulhumalé Magistrate Court, for the police investigation.
