Candidates welcome to express interest for Hanyameedhu and Mathiveri by-elections on PPM ticket

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has opened the opportunity for interested candidates to express interest to contest for Adh. Hanyameedhu and Aa. Mathiveri Council by-elections on PPM ticket.

PPM said that the deadline to apply is 16 May, and that if interest is expressed by more than one person, a decision will be made by holding a primary election.

A date for the primary election will be determined by the party’s elections committee.

Council by-elections for Hanyameedhu and Mathiveri will be held on Saturday, 23 June. Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has also welcomed candidates to express interest to contest for these by-elections on MDP ticket.
