MTCC airport bus ticket price increased to MVR 20

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has increased the ticket price of the bus between Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) and Hulhumalé, from MVR 16 to MVR 20.

CEO Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq said that the price was increase because the buses are airport shuttles, which means passengers usually travel with luggage.

He said that the price increase will apply to all passengers, as it is not possible to separate passengers with and without luggage.

He added that there is no change in the ticket price of the Hulhumalé inner-city bus.

Yesterday, MTCC introduced two new buses for its INIA-Hulhumalé route. The air-conditioned buses have a capacity of 45 passengers and will be operated hourly.
