Self-defense classes for MIRA staff to stay protected

A special self-defense training program has begun for the staff of Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) to stay protected on the job.

MIRA’s Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation, Hassan Zareer said that the training program is being conducted to stay protected because the staff is facing dangers while doing their jobs at times.

“The purpose is that to be more confident to in their work and daily life and face challenges head on.” Zareer said.

The self-defense training is being conducted by the Police Training Institute with 143 staff MIRA. The training would go for 10 nights.
