34 vehicles impounded for more than four years have been destroyed

Police have destroyed 34 vehicles that has been impounded for four years.

Today at No.1 waste site, eight four-wheeled vehicles and 26 two-wheeled vehicles were destroyed which included bicycles and motorcycles.

Police Media Official said that the vehicles destroyed today were vehicles that has been in the Police impound for four years.

“It’s been four years to those vehicles, old and damaged.” Police Media Official said.

Police have been impounding vehicles on the streets of Malé that has been there for a long time and taking them to Thilafushi.

Sub Inspector of Police, Ahmed Haneef said that operation to remove vehicles that has been parked on the streets of Malé for a long time, broken, old and without an identification of the owner would end after removing all those vehicles and cleaning up the streets.
