MP for the Thimarafushi constituency, PPM’s Mohamed Musthafa has said that the Tourism Minister, Ahmed Adheeb would become the new Vice President of the Maldives.

In a tweet sent out by the MP referring to Minister Adheeb, MP Musthafa said that “Bro” is now a brand. And that the Independence Day would dawn with the “new” term of a “new” Vice President.

MP Musthafa sent out the tweet during a visit to the Thaa Atoll with the Tourism Minister, Youth Minister and other PPM officials.

The rumors about the Tourism Minister Adheeb becoming the new Vice President started when the PPM presented the amendment to the Parliament so that the candidates to the Vice President would be between 30 – 60 years of age. The Parliament has now received the amendment.

But the PPM nor the Government has made any official comment about making Adheeb the new Vice President.
