Schools have resumed for the second term of the academic year.
The results of the first term were given to the students on 4 June and the schools have resumed after a ten day break.
The schools won’t be closing for the Ramadan this year. The next break for the students would be in the midterms from 30 August to 3 September.
The last examination of the year would be from 4 – 18 November. The academic year would end on 24 November.
When the first term of the academic year has ended, two professional development programs for the teachers have been conducted.
While more than 64,000 students are studying in the schools across the country, the academic year started with a new syllabus. And with the new syllabus, changes were brought to the school hours and the materials at schools with the introduction of new text books.
The academic year started on 11 January in the Maldives with major changes in the education system.
