Young man dies in Maradhoo traffic collision

A young man has died last night in a dangerous traffic collision in Maradhoo, Addu City.

Police told Sun Media today that the young man that died last night was the 30-year-old Ali Nizaar of Aleebohareege, Hithadhoo.

The collision took place near the Aulaa shop on Maradhoo Bodumagu around 12:30 a.m. when a speeding motorcycle collided with a pickup truck parked near the shop.

The driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and died around 1:10 a.m. while receiving treatment.

While the man sustained injuries to his face and other parts of his body, his vehicle was damaged beyond use.
