Adheeb: Trying to bring Messi to the Maldives

Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Adheeb has said that they are trying to bring the No. 1 footballer in the world, Captain of the Argentine national team and the star of FC Barcelona, Lionel Messi.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the football festival held by Ooredoo and Paris Saint-Germain, Minister Adheeb said that they are working with Ooredoo to bring Messi to the Maldives as part of the golden jubilee celebrations.

“Under the guidance of President Abdulla Yamin, I am working with Ooredoo to give a surprise to all the children. Trying to, with god’s will to bring Messi to you children this year.” Minister Adheeb said.

Minister Adheeb said that the work would be successful with the combined effort of the Youth Ministry and the Tourism Ministry, it can be achieved and since there is a large number of supporters of Messi in the country, he believes that Ooredoo would help.

Lionel Messi is an advertising partner of Ooredoo. He has won the award of the No.1 footballer over the cause of four years.
