Student parade to celebrate golden jubilee independence

A student parade participating all the schools has been held to celebrate 50 years on independence in the Maldives.

As one of the largest events of the golden jubilee celebrations, students from all the schools of Male’, Vilimale’ and Hulhumale’ took part in parade.

The golden jubilee office says that the parade took place in the atolls as well.

Students in the parade today walked on the biggest roads in the city. The parade started near the Maafannu Stadium and continued on Boduthakurufaanu Magu and Majeedhee Magu as well.

After going through many roads, the parade in Male’ ended back at the stadium.

About 25,000 students along with their parents took part in the parade.
