MTCC to give bonus shares

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) have decided to give a bonus share to every share.

The company said that their Board of Directors has decided to give one share for every MVR 50 share and it would be given at the annual shareholders meeting tomorrow night.

MTCC said that the bonus share would be given to registered shareholders of the company at the end to today. And so to update the registry of the bonus shareholders, the registry would be closed for five days starting from Monday.

The Board of Directors at MTCC has decided to present MVR 20 per share at the shareholders meeting tomorrow. MTCC profited in record amount in the past year. The company earned a net profit of MVR 81.6 million in the past year.
