Blood donation in Irufushi

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Sun Travels and Tours, the staff of The Sun Siyam Irufushi Maldives has hosted a blood donation camp.

A total of 110 staff of the resort donated blood in the blood drive that ran from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today.

The blood drive was conducted with the aid of a team from the Maldives Blood Service.

Speaking to Sun Media, the director of Irufushi Operations, Ahmed Rifaau said that things like blood donations are important for the sake of humanity.

He said that even in the future, the Sun Siyam Group would support such programs.

“This is an important thing for humanity. Even in the future we guarantee support from us for programs like this. In this opportunity I would like to thank all the staff of the company.” Rifaau said.

Member of the event organizing Steering Committee, Azza Hameed said that a blood drive would be hosted at Vilureef Beach and Spa very soon.

Blood donation programs have been conducted by Olhuveli Beach and Spa and The Sun Siyam Group head office as well.
