Maldivian High Commissioner to Malaysia resigns

High Commissioner of Maldives to Malaysia Mohamed Fayaz has resigned from his post.

This was announced by Fayaz on Twitter today.

I have decided to resign as the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Maldives. Met all staff to say good bye. Thanks all. pic.twitter.com/4yoij9a6fg

Fayaz was appointed as the High Commissioner of Maldives to Malaysia on 29 April 2015.

He has served as Minister of State for Home Affairs, Deputy Commissioner of Police, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
