Trial of the murder of Muheeth cancelled at PG

The murder case of Abdul Muheeth scheduled at the Criminal Court today has been cancelled at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The Media Official of the Criminal Court, Ahmed Mohamed Manik said that the trial scheduled for 11 a.m. today was cancelled at the request of the PG’s office.

Muhujathu Ahmed Naasih and Ali Mushahfahu has been charged with the murder of Abdul Muheeth and Mohamed Maimoon has been charged with accessory for his involvement in the murder.

At the hearing on 15 April, the closing statements were scheduled for the next hearing which was scheduled for today.

Abdul Muheeth was murdered on the night of 19 February 2012, Saturday, around 1:50 a.m. with a sharp object while he was sitting on a motorcycle near the Finance Ministry.
