INIA runway reopened after moving the jet

The runway at the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport reopens five hours later after a moving private jet that skid off while landing off the runway.

Moments after the private jet took off from INIA, the captain landed the plane again, and the jet skid off the runway around 4:50 p.m.

“The wheel has been punctured and the plane has pivoted to a side. One of it’s wings is 10 cm from the ground. Hence moving it is difficult.” An official from the airport said.

Flights were delayed since it took a long time to move the private jet off the runway. And passengers had to wait for their flight at the airport for a long time.

The fuel was from the plane before moving it.

The airport official told Sun Media that no planes landed after the incident took place at 4:50 p.m. today. But a domestic flight did take off after that.
