Police appeal for assistance in identifying two suspects

Police have released a video and appealed for public assistance in identifying and locating two suspects involved in the attack on a police officer during the opposition-led rally in Malé on 1 May 2015.

The video shows a police officer who had fallen to the ground, being attacked by protesters.

Police have urged anyone with information on these suspects to contact the Maldives Police Service Serious and Organised Crime Department on 9911099, or its Hotline on 3322111.

Nine people have been arrested in relation to the attack on the police officer.
