Fire incident at beach hut in Miladhoo

A fire incident has taken place at a beach hut on the eastern side of N. Miladhoo last night.

Police said that the incident was reported this morning, and no person was injured.

A Police media official said that the reason for the fire is unknown, and that the incident is under investigation.

A person from Miladhoo said on the condition of anonymity that it was an arson attack.

The hut, made of sticks and dried leaves, is completely destroyed.

The island council office and court of Miladhoo were also set on fire at the end of last year. Both buildings were destroyed beyond use. In addition, large amounts of cash had been stolen from three houses, and fire had been set to electric equipment at another house.
