Fire in Hulhumale

A fire has occurred at the waste site in Hulhumale’.

The Deputy Manager of HDC, Mohamed Shahid told Sun Media that the fire started in the early hours of the morning. And it was past sunrise when the fire was put out with the aid of MNDF fire and rescue.

Shahid said that smoke is still rising in the area but no one has been harmed in any way.

He also said that a lot of garbage waste is in the area and the cause of the fire is yet unclear.
