American military airplane makes an emergency landing at INIA

An American military plane has made an emergency landing at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA).

Sources say that the American plane landed at the airport around 4 p.m. due to technical issues. The exact nature of the issue is unclear.

An official from the airport said that an emergency state was declared at the airport which ended when the American plane landed.

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has made no comment regarding the matter.
