MWSC: Water usage higher due to hot weather

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has said that water usage has increased in Male’ over the past few weeks, due to hot weather.

The company has urged everyone to avoid wasting water, by reducing pressure, using less water when washing clothes and dishes, and not letting children play with water.

Male’ experienced a water crisis in December 2014 when water was disconnected for several days. Also, water was cut off in parts of Male’ for some hours last Wednesday.
