Ibrahim Shabau appointed Secretary General of Mal

Civil Service Commission has appointed Ibrahim Shabau as the Secretary General of Malé City Council.

Shabau holds a Master’s Degree from Univesity of Melbourne in Australia, and a Bachelor’s Degree from University of the South Pacific in Samao. He began his services to the government in 1995.

He has worked at Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture for ten years, and held posts such as Senior Agriculture Officer, Director, and Deputy Director General.

He has worked with UNDP, FAO, and ADB, in implementing projects in the Maldives.

Shabau was appointed as Secretary General of Malé City Council, following President Abdulla Yameen’s decision to transfer Mohamed Anwar from the post of Secretary General of Malé City Council, to Controller of Immigration and Emigration.
