MMPRC: The awards are the result of promotion

Managing Director of MMPRC, Abdulla Ziyath has said that the awards won by the Maldives in the tourism sector are the result of promoting the Maldives.

Ziyath said this while responding to a question by Sun Media about winning Outlook Magazine’s Most Popular Asian destination award.

“We believe that tourists from the Asian region, especially India tourists would increase due to this award.” Ziyath said.

Outlook is the most popular travel magazine in India. The Maldives competed Bhutan, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and UAE for the award.

The Maldives’ stand at the ITB Berlin won third place this year.

Maldives has won many awards in the tourism sector.
