The Third Fish Camp organised by Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture for Marine Science students has been completed.
The four-day camp, held in Kaafu Huraa, was concluded yesterday with a ceremony in Kaafu Kanduoiygiri. 24 students – 12 boys and 12 girls - from five schools took part in the camp.
The camp included practical classes on marine science, which students are not able to experience in the school environment.
The first class was on marine safety, which is crucial for Maldives, said the ministry.
The classes also included a Product Tasting Program organised by Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Limited (MIFCO), where students created their own products using fish.
