Five days added to the custody period of the journalist arrested in the rally

Five days have been added to the custody of the Channel One journalist, Mohamed Niyaz who was arrested at the MDP protest last night.

The police media official said today that five days was added to his custody period when he was taken to the Criminal Court today.

Police said that he was arrested for refusing police orders.

Two people aside from Niyaz were arrested at last night’s protest. One was arrested for obstructing the police and the other was for attacking a police officer.
