Thefts occurred during the fire

Police are investigating robberies from the houses evacuated during the fire warehouse of Lily Enterprises.

Some residents in the area told Sun Media that robberies have occurred when they came back into the house after the evacuation.

A man speaking from M. Little Hut said, “Four laptops and six phones were stolen from the third floor of this house. What happened was that we were asked to evacuation when the fire started spreading to this house.”

Regarding the thefts, the information officer, Station Inspector Ismail Ali said that police have received the cases about thefts during the fire last night. He said that the police investigation is underway and no arrests have been made in the case.

Some people have not been able to go back into their houses in the area of the warehouse that caught fire last night. The area still heavily affected by the smoke.

The popular merchant and Chairman of Lily Enterprises, Malla Ahmed Nasir said that three million Rufiyaa worth of stock was destroyed in the fire.
