Umar: Mosques and it

Home Minister Umar Naseer has said that mosques and it’s surrounding prayer areas must not be used to make political statements and it should be stopped.

The minister said this in a tweet his sent out today when MDP supporters gathered at the courtyard near the Islamic Center after the Friday prayers as they did in the previous week.

Mosques & its surrounding prayer areas must not be used to make political statements. Police must take action against this.

A lot of the MDP supporters gathered after the Friday prayers at the area between the Islamic Center and the MNDF HQ for a prayer, the same as they did last week.
