ADK hospital has officially inaugurated services of their newly developed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
In the ceremony held at ADK training room to celebrating the 28th anniversary of the hospital today, the services were inaugurated by the Permanent Secretary of the Health Ministry, Khadhija Abdul Samad.
Speaking about the new developments, Pediatrician Dr. Abdulla Niaaf said that six beds have been established with the advanced development and eight beds have been added to the NICU equipped with special machines for babies. And with the latest development, ADK hospitals ICU and NICU services would become the best in the country.
The hospital said that the new beds are not normal beds used in the hospital before and the new beds would be easier to use by the patients.
"Health of Science" program was also inaugurated in today’s ceremony to train personnel in the health industry. ADK hospital says that a lot of training programs are schedule with the ADK staff and other relative parties. And everyone working in healthcare can participate in the courses according to the hospital.
