A live music show to kick-start the 50th Independence Day celebration

The government plans to organize a live music show to start the celebrations for the Golden Jubilee of the Maldivian Independence.

Media Coordinator of the Home Ministry, Thazmeel Abdul Samad said today that popular singers in the country would take part in the live music show to be held tomorrow night at the Henveiru Stadium in association with National Center for the Arts (NCA).

The ministry says that Fasy Live, Unoosha, Yameen, Munday,Theyravaa, Ibbe, Ahmmaday, Lamha, Maain, Sama, Ashra, Lahfa, Ashfa, Naffan and the old classic Olympians are among the artists for tomorrow night.

The show would be from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. tomorrow night with free entrance.

Grand celebrations are being prepared in all parts of the country to mark 50 years of independence. A drawing competition among the schools is being organized to celebrate the Independence Day this year. And a special swimming event will be held on the 27 March.
