Sports bill goes to parliament

The government has sent the sports bill to day to be submitted to the parliament.

The sports bill is to assist and develop the sports clubs and associations in the country and the sports themselves. The bill also includes the establishment of Maldives Olympic Committee, Sports Council and Maldives National Sports Limited and their regulatory standards.

The bill also executes the items from the government’s sports manifesto and the regulations needed to develop competitive sports on the atoll and national level, flourish cultural activities and improve the standard living of all ages.
