The state visit by President Abdulla Yameen to Pakistan has been postponed again, this time indefinitely.

The President’s visit to Pakistan scheduled for June 2014 was postponed for security reasons, following a terror attack in the country.

President Yameen’s Spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz said back then that the visit was postponed as advised by security officials in both countries.

No reason has been given for the second postponement. Some other world leaders who delayed their visits to Pakistan following security concerns, such as the Prime Minister of Turkey, have since made state visits to the country.
