Police test weapons to be used in protests

Police have tested the weapons to be used in the big protest planned for Friday by Jumhooree Party (JP) and Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).

Police said that officers have been familiarized of the quantity of arms required for the operation to be held regarding the protest and these weapons have been made ready and accessible.

Police added that weapons have been tested at Feydhoo Finolhu.

Exercises have been conducted on Thursday to check the extent to which the police have got prepared for the protest scheduled for Friday.
