Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has said that designs needed for development of Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) have been completed.
Minister Mohamed Saeed on Monday evening said to Sun Online that all (detailed) drawings have been completed and onsite work of development of INIA will begin very soon.
Minister said that discussions are being held with Japan and China at an advance level, regarding finance required to this mass project.
In a previous interview, Minister Saeed had said that INIA will be developed by the end of 2017.
Development of Airport is targeted for five million travelers, which will include a second runway, an oil farm and with a multiple times bigger terminal, said Economic Minister. He noted that it is a 700 million dollar investment.
