ADK to raise prices by 10 percent

ADK Hospital has decided to raise its prices by 10 percent.

Managing Director of ADK Hospital, Ahmed Afaal spoke to Sun today and said that they have decided to raise the charges by 10 percent in all the services excluding the consultation fee. Even with the change in prices, the Aasandha insurance percentage will not be changed, said the Managing Director.

The change in the prices will be effective from 12:00 a.m. next Monday.

“Under the Aasandha clause, we kept our prices fixed for the past four years. But with the inflation each year, the products we import have become expensive. We had no option but to raise our prices in order to keep providing our services,” Afaal said.

The contract signed between ADK and Aasandha insurance scheme in 2011 expired last December, and the agreement has been renewed since.

The hospital says the new agreement will not cover insurance for the special services like the newly introduced Neurosurgery and Arthroscopic surgery. The hospital is working to provide insurance for the prescriptions of the inpatients starting in the month of March.
