Adeeb appointed as Acting Finance Minister

Minister of Tourism Ahmed Adeeb has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Finance by the President.

Spokesperson for the President’s Office, Ibrahim Muaz Ali said that Adeeb has been charged with the task of running the Finance Ministry because Finance Minister Abdulla Jihad has left the country on a personal matter.

When Jihad will return to the country, is unknown.

President Yameen has previously entrusted Adeeb with the Defense Ministry and the Home Ministry temporarily.
