Department of Heritage has said that renovation of Alifu Dhaalu Fenfushi Mosque has been completed.
In a statement released by Heritage Department, it was noted that renovation of Fenfushi Mosque, which is one of the six coral stone mosques of Maldives in the World Heritage List, has been completed on Sunday.
Providing details about the renovation, it was stated in the statement that staircases of the mosque, pillars and damaged doors in the prayer room have been repaired and the Southern wall of the mosque has been cleaned by using a chemical. Required refit was also made to the cemetery inside the mosque.
Officials of Heritage Department arrived in Fenfushi on 2nd of this month to renovate the mosque.
